Module 1 addresses the theoretical foundations of PSsmile methodology including perspectives from positive psychology, social-emotional intelligence and development, inclusive community-based education and in the recent goals proposed by the UN 2030 Agenda. In addition to that, there is a chapter dedicated to drivers for applying the PSsmile curriculum. They refer to standards and strategies supporting the development of social and emotional competencies, but also to actual teaching and learning strategies.
Going through this module, learners will acquire a thorough understanding of Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) and related educational strategies (e.g., UDL) both from a theoretical and practical perspectives.
The Module is divided into five chapters. Each chapter includes a text-based "learning-nugget", presenting the topic, and a quiz test created to evaluate what users learned.
