"Theoretical and Methodological Background" is dedicated to the presentation of the fundamentals of the teaching methodology developed within the PSsmile project.
By engaging with the material offered here, teachers and parents will develop a greater understanding of the theories underlying social-emotional education and its great relevance in the contemporary educational environment.
In this part you will learn about the PSsmile curriculum framework and the 5 domains of Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL), as proposed by the CASEL Framework (casel.org). By engaging with the material and activities proposed, learners will improve their socio-emotional competences and learn how to teach SEL to children either at school or at home.
For those who wish to learn more about social-emotional education and/or further enhance their social-emotional skills, this section of the course introduces the PSsmile App, which provides additional 5-week training, and other sources inherent to social-emotional education.
